Images Displayed During Playback
Each set of images shot continuously is managed as a single group, and
only the first image in that group will be displayed. To indicate that the
image is part of a group, [ ] is displayed in the upper left of the screen.
• If you erase a grouped image ( = 96), all images in the group are
also erased. Be careful when erasing images.
•
Grouped images can be played back individually (
=
89) and ungrouped
( = 89).
• Protecting (
=
93) a grouped image will protect all images in the group.
• Grouped images can be viewed individually when played back using Image
Search (
=
88) or Smart Shuffle (
=
92). In this case, images are
temporarily ungrouped.
• Grouped images cannot be tagged as favorites (
=
99), edited (
=
98
– 103), printed ( = 146), set for printing individually ( = 151), added to a
Photobook ( = 153), and Face ID information cannot be edited ( = 90). To
do these things, either view grouped images individually ( = 89) or cancel
grouping (
=
89) first.
Still Images
Shooting Stitch Assist Images
Shoot a large subject by taking multiple shots at various positions, and then
use the software ( = 19) to combine them into a panorama.

Choose [ x ] or [ v ].
z z Follow steps 1 – 2 in “Specific Scenes”
( = 55) and choose [ x ] or [ v ].

Take the first shot.
X X The first shot will determine the exposure
and white balance.

Take additional shots.
z z Compose the second shot so that it
partially overlaps the image area of the
first shot.
z z Minor misalignment of overlapping
portions will be corrected automatically
when the images are combined.
z z You can take up to 26 shots, the same
way you took the second shot.

Finish shooting.
z z Press the <
m
> button.

Use the software to combine the
images.
