Camera Preparation
Get Loaded: 2 things a digital camera needs to function, a battery and a memory
card.
Battery
- Digital cameras use a lot of battery power. Be sure to have an extra
set handy.
Memory card
- device to record or “hold” your pictures until they are moved to a
computer or printed. The number of pictures your camera will take is determined
by the size of memory card.
Most digital cameras will have an LCD screen. LCD stands for Liquid Crystal
Display. Try to avoid touching the screen as it will leave
fingerprints.

How to take a picture
(Camera has charged batteries and memory card inserted.)
5 Steps:
1- Shooting mode dial should be set to
AUTO
2- Turn the power
ON
- Press the On/Off button.
3- Look at the LCD screen on the back of the camera.
4- Press the Shutter button on the top front part of the camera. (Press half way to
focus, and all the way to shoot.)
5-View the picture you just took.
On the upper right side of the camera there is a mode switch that slides. When
you are taking pictures this switch should be slid up toward the red camera.
When you want to view pictures slide this button toward the blue arrow. Notice
the screen now shows the last picture you took. You can then scroll through
pictures by using the arrows on the back.
Be sure to flip the sliding switch
back to the red camera when finished viewing
. It will be ready to go for your
next picture.
