Setting the Camera Mode: Auto and Manual Modes

The camera allows you to choose between [Auto] and [Manual] camera modes. When the camera
mode is set to [Auto], the camera performs automatic exposure by automatically adjusting the
aperture, gain, shutter speed, ND filter level and white balance. Oppositely, when the camera mode is
set to [Manual], you can adjust those settings manually.
By default, the camera mode is set to [Auto]. As such, the camera mode will be set to [Auto] the first
time you use the camera or after you reset all the camera's settings.

1 Press the joystick.

• One of the adjustable settings will be highlighted in orange on the screen.

2 Push the joystick left/right to select the current camera mode.

3 Push the joystick up/down to select the desired camera mode and then press the joystick.

NOTES

• When the camera mode is set to [Auto], the camera automatically adjusts the ND filter level by

default. However, you can set the [Camera Setup]

[ND Mode] to [Manual] setting to allow you to

manually adjust the ND filter level.

• When the camera mode is set to [Auto] and the brightness changes, exposure adjustment may not

be smooth.

• You can use the [Camera Setup]

>

[AE Response] setting to change how quickly the aperture

changes during automatic exposure when the camera mode is set to [Auto] or when you are using
push auto iris.
