Opening waste toner cover/ toner leakage due to the defect waste
toner case

[Symptom]

In the machines prior to the Countermeasure cut-in serial number in factory described below The following symptoms may occur
in the waste toner container

• The tape that fixes the upper and lower sections of the waste toner container is lifted, and the waste toner leaks from the

gap made by the lifted tape.

• When opening and closing the cassette 1, the waste toner container flies out and the waste toner cover opens.

[Cause]

The above-mentioned symptoms are caused by the following reasons

• Since the tape that is attached to the waste toner container is so stiff that the tape is lifted.
• Since only small part of the claw of the waste toner container is hooked, it flies out.

[Service work]

When the above-mentioned symptoms occur, replace the waste toner container with a new type (WT-202) (FM1-A606-030).
