This example describes the procedure for
scanning an original and sending it to a file server
(computer) in PDF format.
Preparations for Sending to
a Computer
To send data to a computer, you must specify settings for the
shared folder.
In this example, the following settings are specified:
Computer Settings
TCP/IP Settings
Enable NetBIOS over TCP/IP
Adding users
[User Name]: user_name
[Password]: password
Creating a shared folder
[Share Name]: share
[Permissions]: Full Control
Setting a Computer
Data scanned with the machine can be saved to a shared
folder. The shared folder can be set from your computer.
The following example describes the procedure for setting a
shared folder with Windows Vista:

Log on to Windows with administrator privileges.
