Dialing Methods
This machine provides you with four methods to specify the fax destination.
■
Regular Dialing
You can specify a destination using the numeric keys on the control panel.
■
One-Touch Speed Dialing
You can specify one or more destinations by pressing the desired one-touch speed dialing
key on the Fax panel. You can register up to 60 destinations for one-touch speed dialing.
The first group of keys numbered 01 to 20 are on the Fax panel. Open the first one-touch
panel to see keys 21 to 40, then the second panel to see keys 41 to 60.
■
Coded Speed Dialing
You can specify one or more destinations by pressing [Coded Dial] on the Fax panel
followed by a three-digit code using the numeric keys. You can register up to 140
destinations for coded speed dialing.
■
Address Book
You can specify one or more destinations by pressing [Address Book] on the Fax panel to
look up the destination by the recipient’s name.
NOTE
•
For instructions on registering a fax/telephone number for speed dialing, see “Storing
Destinations,” on p. 2-12.
•
You can restrict sending to only the numbers that you have registered for speed dialing.
In this case, the registration of new destination for speed dialing is disabled. (See
Chapter 6, “System Manager Settings,” in the
Reference Guide
)
•
Use the numeric keys to dial the international access code. For details on international
access codes, contact your local telephone company.
