The fixin g unit and it s s urroundin gs in s ide the machine may become hot durin g
u s e. When removin g jammed paper or when in s pectin g the in s ide of the
machine, do not touch the fixin g unit and it s s urroundin gs , a s thi s may re s ult in
burn s or electrical s hock.

After clearin g all paper jam s , remove your hand s from the machine immediately.
Even if the machine i s not in operation, your hand s , hair, or clothin g may g et
cau g ht in the feed roller s , which could re s ult in per s onal injury or dama g e if the
machine s uddenly s tart s printin g .
IMPORTANT
After you have cleared all the paper jams, make sure to return all the covers to their
original positions. Once you have removed all of the jammed paper, printing resumes.
NOTE
When all the paper jams are cleared, the machine automatically recalculates the
number of copies or prints to make. You do not need to re-enter the number of copies
or prints, even if you are printing multiple sets.
Right Side of the Machine
CAUTION
The fixin g unit and it s s urroundin gs are s ubject to hi g h temperature s . When
removin g jammed paper, do not touch anythin g in thi s area except the jammed
paper or the upper cover.
If paper is jammed in the machine’s
right side, remove the jammed paper
as described below.
