Color Gamut

The range of colors that a device can detect or reproduce. A monitor has a wider color

gamut than a printer, so a monitor can display a greater number of colors. Color profiles

map the color gamut specific to a device into the color gamut of a different device, for

instance monitor color gamut to printer color gamut.
