Close the cover.

Press the cover until it snaps shut.

When you set the power switch to

>, the number of possible shots will
be displayed on the LCD monitor.

After opening the card slot/battery compartment cover, be careful not to swing
it back any further. Otherwise, the hinge may break.
z
The number of possible shots varies depending on the remaining capacity of
the card, image-recording quality, ISO speed, etc.
z
Setting [
z
: Release shutter without card] to [Disable] will prevent you
from forgetting to insert a card before shooting ( = 260).
Removing the Battery and Card

Set the power switch to <

Open the cover.

Make sure the access lamp is off,
then open the cover.
z
If [Saving...] is displayed, close the
cover.

Remove the battery.
z
Press the battery lock lever as shown by
the arrow and remove the battery.
z
To prevent short-circuiting, be sure to
attach the provided protective cover
(

35) to the battery.
