Using an External Speedlite

EOS-dedicated, EL/EX-series Speedlites

Using an EL/EX-series Speedlite (sold separately) makes flash photography

easy.

For operation procedures, refer to the EL/EX-series Speedlite’s

Instruction Manual.

Functions are limited when using EX series Speedlites that are not

compatible with flash function settings.

Non-EL/EX series Canon Speedlites will not fire.

If the camera is used with a flash unit or flash accessory dedicated to another

camera brand, the camera not only may not operate properly, but malfunction

may result.
