Document Feed and Eject Trays

Before scanning, prepare the Document Feed and Eject Trays for the desired paper size.

Preparing the Document Feed Tray

Opening the Document Feed Tray

When the scanner is turned ON, the Document Feed Tray opens 
automatically and moves to the specified home position height.

Hint

When opening the Document Feed Tray by hand, place your fingers 
in the indents at both sides of the tray, and open it gently.

Home Position Setting

The height of the home position (the position to which the document 
Feed Tray moves after it opens) can be adjusted in three steps 
according to the number of document pages to be loaded (the default 
setting is the lowest position, which accepts up to 500 sheets). 

The height of the home position is set by the Tray Position User Mode 
setting, which minimizes the time required to start feeding by 
specifying in advance the proper position for the documents to be 
loaded.

Press the Menu key on the control panel.

The User Mode is activated.
