Detecting Jams

2.7.1

Jams

0006-2275

The machine uses the following sensors to check for original jams. The timing of making a
check is stored in the ROM of the reader PCB, and the machine identifies the presence/
absence of a jam in terms of the presence/absence of paper over specific sensors.
When a jam is identified, the machine communicates to its host machine by mans of a code.
The jam code of the machine may be checked in its host machine's service mode.
