Attaching the Optional Rain Cover
When using the optional URC-S1 Camera Remote Rain Cover, for example for outdoor use, attach the front and rear
covers to the rain cover. The front cover is different for the EF100-400mm lens and for other lenses.
The optional URC-S1 Camera Remote Rain Cover is just a basic rain cover and does not make the system
completely waterproof. If the robotic camera system is used in a location under continuous direct rainfall
or during torrential rainfall, some water drops may leak in through the gaps.
Close the opening on the rain cover tightly, without any gaps. Failing to do so may cause water leaks
Attaching the Front Cover
1.
If you had already set the camera head upright, lay it down in the position just before connecting the
cables, as shown in the “final situation” picture on page 33.
2.
Attach the lens hood to the lens.
3.
Attach the front cover to the groove on the front ring that
you installed on the camera rotator in advance. Pull the
string to tightly close the front cover’s opening.
When using the EF100-400mm F4.5-5.6L IS II USM lens, attach
the large front cover (for 100-400mm lenses) aligning it to the
position of the zoom unit.
(The picture on the right shows the EF100-400mm lens.)
4.
Use the fastener to hold the end of the string in place.
5.
Tighten the front cover’s lens side opening around the lens
hood and hold it in place with the fastener.
Attaching the Rear Cover
1.
Extend the large opening of the rear cover through which
you previously passed the camera head’s cable assembly
and cover the camera unit with it.
