Printing on Paper and Other Media
Printing Area
To ensure the best print quality, the printer requires a margin along each edge of the media.
The printing area, which varies according to the media size, is the paper size minus the
margins.
There is both a printing area (recommended) and a printable area (possible).
Printing area (dark blue)
Canon recommends that you print within this area
for optimum print quality. (

Printable area (light blue) The area where it is possible to print. However,
printing in this area can adversely affect the print
quality or the paper feed precision. (
