Using the Macintosh Printer Driver

Executing Special Functions

Using Background Printing

If background printing is selected with the Chooser, you can open the BJ PrintMonitor to
confirm the progress of printing or to stop printing.

Also, the order in which suspended documents are printed can be changed.

About background printing

The print processing method which enables you to do other tasks simultaneously while
printing documents is called “Background Printing.” When background printing is to be
performed, select Chooser from the Apple Menu, select a printer driver, and set
Backgrounding to On.

Selecting a Printer Driver

While background printing is being performed, you can display the BJ PrintMonitor to
confirm the progress of printing or to stop the printing.

Displaying the BJ PrintMonitor window

When Backgrounding is set to On, the BJ PrintMonitor starts up automatically when you
print. The BJ PrintMonitor appears in the Application Menu.

To verify the print process, click the BJ PrintMonitor icon in the Application Menu.
