2. Selecting SCSI ID and Terminator Settings
The last device in a daisy chain of SCSI devices attached to your computer must be fitted with a terminator or, if
it has the capability, must be set to the Terminator On range.
Your Film Scanner has a built-in terminator that can be set to either the On range or the Off range as required by
your device configuration.
CAUTION:
• Your Film Scanner has been set at the factory to SCSI ID 2 on the Terminator On range. If you are
using your Film Scanner in the middle of a daisy chain configuration, always set the SCSI ID to an
appropriate number on the Terminator Off range.
Sample Configuration with the Film Scanner at the End of a Daisy Chain
If your Film Scanner is the last device in the daisy chain, set the SCSI ID to an unreserved number between 0 and
6 on the Terminator On range of the SCSI dial.
Sample Configuration with the Film Scanner Somewhere in the Midst of a Daisy Chain
If your Film Scanner is not the last device in the daisy chain, set the SCSI ID to an unreserved number between
0 and 6 on the Terminator OFF range of the SCSI dial.
