Fax Dialing Features
Dialing Through a Switchboard
If your machine is connected to a PBX, register the [R] key so you
can easily access the outside line.
Registering the [R] Key
1.
Press [Additional Functions].
2.
Press

SETTINGS>, then press [OK].

<COMMUNICATIONS>, then press [OK].

] to select <FAX SETTINGS>,

Use the numeric keys to enter the prefix number
(up to 20 digits).

Press [Recall/Pause] to enter a pause, then press
[OK].
The letter <p> is displayed between the numbers.
You can enter successive pauses within the fax number to make
the pause time longer.
You can change the length of a pause inserted within the fax
number in the <PAUSE TIME> menu. The default setting is two
second. (see “TX/RX SETTINGS,” on p. 11-11.)
10.
Press [Stop/Reset] to return to the standby
mode.
