The mains lead sho u ld b e ro u ted s u ch that it cannot to u ch hot parts of the coo k er i . e . the b ac k panel a b ove a
height of 650 mm from the floor .
S ho u ld this pl u g not fit the soc k et o u tlet in y o u r home it sho u ld b e c u t off and replaced with a s u ita b le pl u g as
o u tlined b elow .
NOTE: The removed pl u g cannot b e u sed for an y other appliance and sho u ld therefore b e properl y disposed of
and not left where children might find it and pl u g it into a s u ppl y soc k et - with the o b vio u s conse q u ent danger .
IF THE FITTED P LUG IS REM O VED
The fle x i b le mains lead m u st b e correctl y connected as b elow to a three pin pl u g of not less than 13 amp
capacit y . I f a B . S . 1363 f u sed pl u g is u sed , it m u st b e fitted with a f u se which is approved to B . S . 136 2 .
IMPORTANT: The wires in the mains lead fitted to this
appliance are colo u red in accordance with the following
code :
GREE N A N D YELLOW - EAR T H
BLUE - N EU T RAL
BROW N - LI V E
A s the colo u rs of the wires in the mains lead of this appliance ma y not correspond with the colo u red mar k ings
identif y ing the terminals in y o u r pl u g , proceed as follows :
The wire which is colo u red green and y ellow m u st b e connected to the terminal in the pl u g which is mar k ed with
the letter E or by the earth s y m b ol or colo u red green or green and y ellow .
The wire which is colo u red b l u e m u st b e connected to the terminal which is mar k ed with the N or colo u red b lac k .
The wire which is colo u red b rown m u st b e connected to the terminal which is mar k ed with the letter L or
colo u red red .
W hen wiring the pl u g , ens u re that all strands of wire are sec u rel y retained in each terminal . D o not forget to
tighten the mains lead clamp on the pl u g .
A s the appliance m u st b e earthed , do not use 2 - pin soc k ets o u tlets , i f you are in dou b t , consult a quali f ied
electrician .
S ho u ld the mains lead ever re q u ire replacement , it is essential that this operation b e carried o u t by a q u alified
electrician and sho u ld onl y b e replaced with a fle x i b le cord of the same si z e i . e . 1 . 0 mm 2 cross sectional area

IF A M O ULDED P LUG IS FITTED
I n the event of replacing a f u se in the pl u g s u pplied an AS T A approved f u se to BS136 2 m u st b e fitted .
NOTE: The f u se cover m u st b e refitted when changing the f u se . I n the event of losing the f u se cover the pl u g
m u st not b e u sed u ntil a replacement f u se cover has b een o b tained and fitted . A new f u se cover can b e
o b tained from y o u r local E lectricit y B oard . The colo u r of the correct replacement f u se cover is that of the
colo u red mar k s or inserts in the b ase of the pl u g .
M a k e s u re that the ca b le does not b ecome trapped when p u shing the coo k er into position .
