1. Remove valve spring, see

2. Push valve stem, then pull valves (intake and

exhaust) out of valve guide.

Whenever valves are removed always inspect
valve guides. Refer to

subsection.

Valve Stem Seal

Always install

NEW

seals whenever valves are re-

moved.

Inspecting the Valve

Inspect valve surface, check for abnormal stem
wear and bending. If out of specification, replace
by a new one.
