CAM8H-AHD User’s manual
III. Basic Information
The CAM8h – AHD device is intended for wireless transmission of an AHD/PAL/NTSC video
signal through a radio link in the ISM 5.8 GHz band. It supports 4 channels in the CE frequen-
cies ranging from 5725 MHz to 5875 MHz, and additional 12 channels in the frequencies from
5325 MHz to 5725 MHz that are intended for operation in some non-EU countries.
The system enables camera image transmission in the following standards:
AHD-M 1.3 Mpix (720p and 960p) cameras
* AHD-L 1 Mpix (960H and PAL/NTSC) cameras
* TVI and CVI cameras operating in the 960H analogue or the PAL mode
* Audio with a PAL/NTSC image
The transmitter has two video inputs: BNC (75 Ω) and UTP (100 Ω) selectable with a switch.
The receiver has two outputs for a BNC and a UTP video signal that are active at the same
time. The surge and interference protection systems ensure that inputs are protected from
damage and conductors are protected from interferences.

Total of 16 channels, including 4 channels intended for operation in the EU
European Union (EU) operating band from 5725 MHz to 5875 MHz, and an additional
band from 5350 MHz to 5875 MHz for some other countries of the world
Integrated directional antennas with a high gain ensuring a very stable operation
If there is no line of sight, it is possible to retransmit the signal and extend the signal
range
Real-time transmission without latency
Easy to install and fully maintenance-free
External cover with integrated directional antennas
3. Before you begin
Before you proceed to install the unit on the mast:
Check if the device has not been damaged in transportation
Select the right location for installation to ensure a full line of sight for the antennas
Materials and obstructions such as glass, a tree or walls cause significant attenuation of
the microwave signal.
It is recommended to install the device 3 metres above the highest obstruction in the
transmission route.
Check the channel settings. The transmitter and the receiver must be set to the same
channel. If the settings are not the same, please select them as specified in the table
below.
