7.4 Connecting to the CRVW3
Before connecting to the CRVW3 via USB, ensure that the USB driver is installed as described in
(p. 15). After the driver is installed on a particular computer, it should
be available for all future connections. Use a USB cable to connect the computer to the CRVW3.

1. Open
Device Configuration Utility
and select CRVW Series.
2. Select the communications port used to communicate with the data logger. It will be
shown as CRVWx.
3. Click OK then Connect.
4. Click OK to avoid conflicts.
5. Select Logger Control tab. The Station Time should update once every second.
6. Click Set Clock to update the CRVW3 clock to match the computer clock.
7. Select Settings Editor > Main.
8. (Optional) Enter a Station Name.
9. Select a Measurement Interval.
