Appendix A.

Defective Pixel Map Download

1.

Create the Defective Pixel Map data in Microsoft Excel format as shown in the left picture
below and save as a CSV file (*.csv). The picture in the right shows the created Excel file
opened in Notepad. The following rules need to be applied when creating the file.



Lines beginning with ‘:’ or ‘

—

’ are treated as notes.



You must enter the horizontal value first and then the vertical value for coordinates of

each defect pixel.



Coordinate values for each pixel can be placed in any order.

2.

Run the application provided by your frame grabber to update or download the Defective
Pixel Map data, and then find the window to function as shown below. Select the

Defect

tab, click the

File Path

item, search and select the defective pixel map (*.csv), and then

click the

Download

button.
