Quick Start Guide (R00)
*For detailed information on use, please refer to the user manual contained in the CD-ROM.
Before Getting Started
1. Charge: Connect CamBall to a PC (USB port) using the USB cable and charge for minimum two hours
and thirty minutes.
2. Insert Micro SD Card: Insert a Micro SD Card into CamBall’s external memory slot. Push all the way in
until the card is flush with CamBall.
3. Launch CamBall Manager: Copy CamballManager3.exe from the CD-ROM to your PC and launch from
the PC.
4. Software upgrade (CamBall Manager and firmware) will start automatically.
5. After upgrading, CamBall Manager will start the initial configurations (language, monitory type, date/time,
etc.) process.
(Refer to the Initial Configurations section of the manual found inside the CD-ROM and finish the initial
configurations before continuing to use CamBall.)
Using CamBall
1.
Powering On
: With CamBall in powered off state, press and hold the Center button. All the indication
lamps will blink three times as CamBall powers on.
2.
Powering Off
: With CamBall in powered on state, press and hold the Center button. The indication
lamps will blink in rotation three times as CamBall powers off.

Standby Mode
* Standby mode is when the REC, MP3, and TV indication lamps are all turned off.
* With REC, MP3, or TV indication lamps turned on, press and hold any of the corresponding buttons to
turn that lamp off. Turn all the lamps off to put CamBall into standby mode.
* From standby mode, press and hold a button that corresponds to Recording Mode, MP3 Mode, or TV
Mode to access that mode. In addition, it’s possible to change the recording type (SG-31) from standby
mode (refer to the user manual).

Snapshots (Standby Mode)
* From standby mode, press the Center button to take snapshots (all lamps blink in rotation).

Video Recording (Recording Mode)
1. Start: From standby mode, press and hold the

button. The REC indication lamp will turn on and
recording will commence. If the REC indication lamp is in red+green, both audio and video will be
recorded.
2. End: Press and hold the

button to turn the REC indication lamp off and stop the recording.

.mp3 Player (MP3 Mode)
1. Copy the desired .mp3 files from the PC to CamBall’s MP3 folders (3).
2. Connect the included earphones and earphone gender to CamBall.
3. Start: From standby mode, press and hold the

button. This will turn on the MP3 indication lamp and
start playing your .mp3 files.
4. End: Press and hold the
▶
button. The MP3 indication lamp will turn off and MP3 mode will terminate.

* Connect CamBall to an external display device to take photos, record video, listen to .mp3 files, and
configure menu options directly from the screen.
1. Connect CamBall to a TV or an LCD monitor using the USB cable.
