Configuring the P220G Gigabit Switch

Cajun P220G Switch Configuration and Operation Guide

 2-11

    " " !

The system has two levels of port settings:

Physical port parameters - enable you to set up rules that guide the system’s
physical layer interaction (enable/disable, speed, auto-negotiation, for example).

Switch port parameters - enable you to set how the port participates in switching
(VLAN mode, trunking, for example).

# "  &

To configure ports on a gigabit module, complete the following steps:

1. Select Physical Ports from the menu on the left side of the Web Agent. The

Physical Ports Configuration screen appears (Figure 2-7):

Figure 2-7.  Physical Port Configuration Screen

2. Check the box in the Enable column to enable a port, or uncheck Enable if you

want to disable the port.

3. Click APPLY to perform the operation. Click CANCEL to return the display to the

current switch settings.

4. Click on the port name in the Name column to set additional parameters. The

Detail Physical Port Configuration screen displays (Figure 2-8)
