CHARGING SYSTEM

DESCRIPTION

The charging circuit of the system is illustrated in the figure and is composed of an AC generator, a rectifier and a
battery.
The AC alternating current generated by the generator is transformed into CC continuous current by the rectifier
and is then utilised for charging the battery.

FUNCTION OF THE RECTIFIER

When the rpm of the engine are low and the voltage generated by the AC generator is less than the regulated
nominal voltage supplied by the rectifier, the rectifier does not operate. In this case, the current generated charges
the battery directly.
