Setup

Step 3: Replace Ventilator Filters

The following consumables need to be replaced between uses:

• Patient inspiration (antibacterial/antiviral) filter

• Patient expiration (antibacterial/antiviral) filter

The inspiration and expiration air filters are located on the front of the CAE Air1 ventilator behind the
inspiration and expiration ports.

Breathing Circuit Ports and Filters

To change the inspiration filter:

a. Remove the used inspiration filter and dispose.

b. Place the new inspiration filter in.

To change the expiration filter:

a. Remove the used expiration filter and dispose.

b. Place the new expiration filter in.

Note:

The air inlet filter for room air (located on the back panel) should also be changed periodically.
