Using the Ventilator

5. Follow local protocol to sterilize the ventilator and change out any used equipment

between patients. For more information, see

Setup

section of this manual.

6. When ventilation mode and settings are configured, tap

Start Ventilation

.

Power Off the Ventilator

To power off the ventilator:

1. Pause the ventilator using the

Standby

button and tap

Yes, Standby

.

2. Press the physical power button on the front of the ventilator for three seconds to power

off.

In the event the system is unresponsive, press the power button for 10 seconds. This will initiate the
safe shutdown of the electronic subsystems and UPS. This action will also trigger the Fail Safe mode
whereby the emergency breathing circuit is enabled.
