At appropriate cuff pressures, Korotkoff sounds are produced, and the radial pulse disappears.
Gastrointestinal System
Ares produces realistic bowel sounds. Auscultation of normal and abnormal bowel sounds can be
performed with the StethoSym utilizing the RFID tags. For further information, see Using the
StethoSym in this guide.
Genitourinary System
Ares may be configured with either male or female genitalia, either of which allows for the insertion
of a urinary catheter.
Changing the Simulator’s Genitalia
Ares comes with male and female genitalia. Ares is shipped with both sets of genitalia, both chest
skins and 2 wigs to accommodate these conversions.
