MAINTENANCE
7.1.
FOREWORD
To ensure a long working life for your stove it is important to periodically clean it thoroughly, as
indicated in the paragraphs below. Once a year it is necessary to clean the chimney and combustion
chamber, check gaskets, clean the motors and fans and check the electrical part. Plan this activity in
advance with the after-sales service. Before turning the stove on after a long idle period, make sure there
are no obstructions in the fumes exhaust pipe. Do not use steel pads, muriatic acid or other products that
can corrode or scratch the internal and external parts of the stove. To replace any damaged parts
demand original spare parts from an authorized retailer.
Important: before performing any operations
let the fire in the combustion chamber go out completely and the chamber cool, and disconnect
the plug from the power socket.
7.2.
CLEANING PAINTED PARTS
Use a soft cloth to clean the parts in painted metal. Never use degreasing agents, alcohol, thinners,
acetone or benzene, which would damage the paint irreparably.
7.3.
CLEANING CERAMIC PARTS
Some models have external ceramic cladding. Because these are hand crafted, they will inevitably have
crazing, popping or shading. Use a soft dry cloth to clean ceramics; if detergents are used they will filter
into the crazing and highlight it.
7.4.
GLASS CLEANING
The ceramic glass of the fire door resists heat to 700°C but not sudden changes in temperature. In order
to avoid
glass explosion
clean with commercial products for glass when it is completely cold. If the glass
breaks it must be replaced before using the stove again. Proceed as follows to replace the glass (see
Picture 1, page 63
a)
Loosen the 3 screws of each horizontal glass holder and the 2 screws of each vertical one (

).
b)
Remove the damaged glass and replace only with an original spare (

). Make sure the gasket
is in good condition; replace if necessary.
c)
Tighten the screws on the four glass holders.
7.5.
DAILY CLEANING OF BURN POT, ASH PAN AND PELLET DROP PIPE
The burn pot and the ash pan must be cleaned every day.
Open the door with the stove off.
Remove the burn pot (

) from its seat,
empty the ash and if necessary clean out any
encrusted holes using a pointed object.
