Commissioning Functions
The Commissioning Functions menu is used to carry out various commissioning tasks including a loop learn
and auto address.
EACIE panel programming tools (Part No. ZTOOLS) are available on C-TEC’s website (
) that allow quick and easy input of data, device and zone naming.
At Access Level 3, press the
button and the window shown below left appears.
Scroll down
to view additional commissioning menu options (shown below right).
Commissioning functions are listed in sections 7.5.1 to 7.5.12.
Commissioning Note:
All the loop devices connected to the EACIE panel need to have a unique address
assigning to them. In addition, the panel needs to read all the loop devices and identify their address by
performing a ‘loop learn’.
There are two recommended options to do this:
Option 1:
At
Access Level 3
>
Commissioning Functions
select the
Auto Address
menu option.
See section 7.5.2.
The Auto Address function will automatically assign an address to each loop device in sequentially
wired order.
Note:
If additional devices are later fitted to the loop, and an Auto Address is performed, you will
have the choice to:
- either continue assigning addresses from the last loop device,
- or, re-assign a new address to all the loop devices.
Option 2:
First, use a CAST Hand-Held Programmer (Part No. CAPROG) to manually assign an
address to each loop device.
Second, at
Access Level 3
>
Commissioning Functions
select the
Loop Learn
menu option.
See section 7.5.1.
