How to use your binocular.
IDP adjustment
Set the interpupillary distance by grasping the body and bending it until you can
see one circle of view. The setting for your eyes will be indicated on the IPD
Scale.
Focusing
1. close your left eye and sight an object with your right eye. Focus the
binocular by rotating the right focus Wheel until the image is Sharp and
clear.
2. Open your left eye, close your right eye, focus the binocular by rotating
the left focus wheel until the image is sharp and clear.
Rubber fold down eyecups
Fold down for use with eyeglasses and fold up for use without eyeglasses. They
provide comfort and promote viewing ease.
How to care for your binocular

keep lens covers (that come with your binocular) on the lenses when
your binocular is not in use

When wiping the lenses, use the lens cloth that comes with the
binocular, or a soft, lintless cloth.

To remove any remaining dirt or smudges, add one or two drops of
isopropyl alcohol to the cloth.

Store your binocular in a moisture-free area.
Very important!
Never attempt to clean your binocular internally or try to take it apart.
CAUTION!
Viewing the sun can cause permanent eye damage.
Do not view the sun with this binocular or even with the naked eye.
How to use the built-in compass
The Bynolyt Searanger III 7x50 compass model comes with built-in LED
compass illuminator for use at night and in low light conditions. (Incidentally, the
compass is built into the left
tube of the binocular and the
pushbutton control for the
light and the battery are
located in the right tube. This
was done to minimize the
chance
that
electrical
interference
might
affect
compass performance.)
When the ambiance light
does not permit you to see
the compass heading clearly,
press the button at the right
tube. If the light is dim or does
not come on, replace the
batteries. If the light does not
operate after replacing the batteries, please contact the Bynolyt dealer nearest
you.
You can read on the compass a number. This number indicates the target
direction in degrees. North is 360 °, south 180 °, 270 ° West and East 90.
It should be noted that the magnetic north pole, not the astronomical north
direction is given. (The magnetic north pole is dependent to the position on the
earth).
How to change batteries
To change the battery, use a thin coin to remove the battery cover by turning ti
counter-clockwise. Remove the two batteries, the batteries have a (+) on the
front and a (-) on the back. Be sure to insert the new batteries with (+) in the
same direction. Replace the battery cover by turning it clockwise.
