7 Start-up
NOTE
►
The minimum lighting time for the emitter is
10 minutes. A shorter switch-on time will lead
to malfunctions (the emitter no longer ignites).
●
Open the overall system’s water supply and drainage.
●
Switch on the circulation pump.
●
Open the bleed screw to bleed the UV radiation chamber (see chap-
ter “10.3 Cleaning/replacing the emitter casing tube”, page 29).
●
Fully open the ball valve to supply the ozone-air mixture.
●
Switch on the main switch. The product starts automatically.
For a visual function check of the UV emitter, a waveguide that lights
up blue is installed in the protective cap of the UV emitter.
●
Slowly close the ball valve until you can see bubbles from the ozone-
air mixture in the water flow through the inspection window. This
regulates the water flow through the RO3
UV bypass and therefore
adjusts the amount of ozone-air mixture added.
6.2 Getting the unit ready for operation
●
Install the product and connect it to the water supply.
●
There must be at least 1.1 m of clearance above the product to facil-
itate emitter replacement.
●
Establish the electrical connection (see the connection and assign-
ment plan)

Only start up the product when the grey protec-
tive cap is in place.

Wear personal protective equipment (protective
goggles).

Shut down the product in the event of an ozone
leak.

Leave the operating room.

Use suitable protective respiratory equipment.

Attach the access restriction to

ous substances on the device.
Attach the warning prohibiting
open flame in the operating
room.
