Check the suitability of the front, farmyard or wheel loader
6.2
WARNING
Risks of personal injury may arise with improper use of the front, farmyard or wheel
loader if the malfunction of components, insufficient stability and insufficient ability of
the front, farmyard or wheel loader to steer and brake occur as a result!
Check the suitability of the front, farmyard or wheel loader before mounting/hitching the
machine to the front, farmyard or wheel loader.
Mount/hitch the machine only to suitable front, farmyard or wheel loaders.
Conduct a brake test in order to check whether the front, farmyard or wheel loader still
achieves the necessary braking rate with the machine attached.
Requirements for the suitability of the front, farmyard or wheel loader are in particular:
the permissible gross weight of the front, farmyard or wheel loader,
the permissible axle loads of the front, farmyard or wheel loader,
the load capacities of the tires mounted to the front, farmyard or wheel loader.
The front axle of the front, farmyard or wheel loader must be subjected to at least 20% of the
unladen weight of the front, farmyard or wheel loader.
The front, farmyard or wheel loader must also achieve the braking rate with the attached
machine that has been prescribed by the manufacturer of the front, farmyard or wheel loader.
6.2.1
Equipment required for the front, farmyard or wheel loader
Engine output of the front, farmyard or wheel loader/electrical system/hydraulics
6.2.1.1
The machine cannot be operated as intended unless the front, farmyard or wheel loader used
satisfies the requirements set out in chapter 3 "Technical data".
NOTICE
The hydraulic hose lines are color-coded at the hydraulic plugs:
Pressure lines (flow P) are marked red,
Return lines (return T) are marked blue.
Use protective dust caps to prevent dirt from entering uncoupled hydraulic connections and
penetrating the hydraulic system.
NOTICE
Some hydraulic components can be coupled to either:
a double-acting control unit,
a single-acting control unit with free return flow installed directly in the hydraulic oil tank
of the front, farmyard or wheel loader.
We recommend using a single-acting control unit with free return flow. The free return flow
allows the hydraulic oil to flow back into the hydraulic oil tank of the front, farmyard or
wheel loader without any return pressure. A free return flow, consequently, reduces the
degree to which the hydraulic oil will heat up.
