1.2.6 Auxiliary Feeder Compatibility
In the case where a BK720 friction feeder is used, an optional table (BK723) can be attached
to the base. This feeder is electrically integrated through a 14-pin auxiliary feeder connector
in order to directly start and stop the feeder from the base. In addition, a rocker switch (
Feed
Enable
) on the instrument panel can be used to enable or disable the feeder in order to run
the base without the feeder. In order to connect a shuttle feeder such as the BK425, the
upstream connector on the base is used to integrate the start and stop functions.
1.2.7 Print Quality Considerations
In order to optimize print quality, the BK760 / BK76IB has a textured tabletop to minimize
static buildup, a helical coupling encoder connection, vacuum-assisted transport belts, and a
sturdy cabinet design.
1.2.8 Software Considerations (Compose Si or IQ)
The BK760 is available in two main software configurations. Depending on which software
is used, different features are available to the customer. In general, Compose Si is the basic
model while Compose IQ offers full feature functionality. The main feature differences can
