TOOL ADJUSTMENT
It is sometimes necessary to adjust the crimp force.
1. Remove the small Phillips-head screw on which the teeth of
the washer engage.
2. Turn the washer in the proper direction to loosen or tighten
the tool adjustment.
3. Replace the Phillips-head screw.
4. Check preload against recommended handle force.
Keep all body parts away from moving
parts during tool operation.
MAINTENANCE
The service life of a tool can be greatly improved with proper care and maintenance. To extend the life of your BURNDY
®
MRE10-22B or MRE10-22NV mechanical tool, keep it clean and well lubricated. Inspect the tool prior to, and after each use for
dirt, grease, oil, oxide inhibitors (Penetrox
™
), and other foreign agents. Should any of these exist, clean the tool using a high
quality solvent-type cleaner. After each cleaning, wipe the tool dry and lubricate with a high-grade silicone spray. Should die
inspection be necessary, profile gages can be purchased through Customer Service at 1-800-346-4175.
SERVICE
Other than the maintenance tasks described above, these tools are NOT user-serviceable. Complete disassembly of this tool is
not recommended. Should service be required, return the tool to the BURNDY Tool Service Center or a BURNDY authorized
tool repair center. Call 1-800-426-8720 for additional information.
WARRANTY
The BURNDY
®
MRE10-22B and MRE10-22NV is warranted to be free of defects in materials and workmanship for a period
of 5 years, except in the case of abuse or modification. Any BURNDY
®
MRE10-22B and MRE10-22NV found to be defective
in material or workmanship and returned to the BURNDY Tool Service Center within 5 years of shipment will be repaired or
the tool will be replaced free of charge at the option of the BURNDY Tool Service Center. After 5 years, units will be repaired
and billing will be based on a sliding scale according to how long the unit has been in service. Any BURNDY
®

and MRE10-22NV returned for repair must be shipped prepaid to the BURNDY Tool Service Center, 150 Burndy Rd., Littleton,
NH, USA 03561. On your packaging slip indicate the nature of the repair required (or describe the problem) and the number
of the purchase order requesting service. Please provide a contact name and phone number in the event we need to call you
regarding the repair or service.
BURNDY LLC, herein after referred to as BURNDY, disclaims all other warranties, expressed or implied, including without
limitation the warranties of the merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. Only crimp dies and accessories designed
and manufactured by BURNDY are recommended for use with the BURNDY
®
MRE10-22B and MRE10-22NV. Use of non-
BURNDY
®
, non-conforming products with this tool shall be deemed abuse and will void the warranty. BURNDY will not under
any circumstances be liable for the cost of removal or reinstallation of goods or the cost of disassembly or reassembly of
equipment in connection therewith, or for the loss of the use of the Buyer’s equipment or facilities, or for the loss of business or
the good will or profits, or for the cost of inspection or storage, or for any incidental or consequential damages of any nature or
description whatever which may arise from BURNDY’s sale of goods to Buyer.
EMERGENCY
RELEASE LEVER
To release the ratchet mechanism, push the lever
toward the front of the tool until the handles and
jaws open.
