Description
We have become aware of a potential hazard with SimpliMet ™ XPS1 Mounting Press manufactured between
September 1, 2012 and April 12, 2016, with serial numbers XPS1-00101 to XPS1-00890.
This problem may manifest
itself in a bolt failure in the mold assembly mechanism, which may result in the possible ejection of the sheared bolt.
The containment cover assembly included with this kit is designed to encapsulate the mold assembly and bolts in the
event of a failure.

We strongly recommend that this containment cover remain in place at all times during operation of the SimpliMet XPS1
Mounting Press.
Unpacking
Carefully unpack and check the contents. If any components are missing or damaged, save the packing list and materials
and advise the carrier and Buehler of the discrepancy.
