11.6 Checking the heating system operating pressure.
In sealed unvented systems the pressure gauge needle
must be within the green band.
Ensure that the red pressure gauge needle is set to the
required operating pressure.
B Check the operating pressure of the heating system.
The operating pressure is too low if the pressure gauge
needle is below the green band. Top up with water
(

Chapter 7.6, page 34).
B Top up with water via the boiler drain & fill valve.
B Vent the heating system.
B Check the operating pressure again.
11.7 Concentric combustion air supply and flue gas pipe
B Check the combustion air and flue system for conta-
mination and tightness. Check the CO/CO
2
values at
the annular gap in the boiler connection piece.
B Check that the condensed water discharge does not
become blocked, otherwise the condensed water
can run into the boiler and lead to corrosion.
11.8 Ventilation air system
B If CO
2
or CO values are excessively high, check the
ventilation air system for blockages.

B Set the system pressure to at least 1
bar.

to water quality, corrosion or scaling.
B Ensure that your heating system is vented.
B Check for leaks in the heating system
and check that the expansion vessel is
functioning correctly.

B Only fill the heating system when cold (the
flow temperature must not exceed 40 °C).
