10 Shutting down the heating system
10.1 Normal shutdown

Switch the On/Off switch on the control unit OFF (po-
sition "0"). This switches off the boiler and all its com-
ponents (such as the burner).

Turn off the fuel supply at the main shut-off valve.
10.2 In an emergency
Explain to your customer what to do in an emergency,
for example if there is a fire:

Never risk your own life. Your own safety is para-
mount.
B
Turn off the fuel supply at the main shut-off valve.
B
Isolate the heating system from the power supply via
the heating system emergency stop switch or the ap-
propriate domestic fuse/MCB.

When the heating system is switched off, it
can freeze up if there is a frost.

Keep the heating system switched ON
as much as possible.

Protect your heating system against
frost by draining the pipework for cen-
tral heating and DHW at the lowest pos-
sible point.

Drain the heat exchanger.
