Installing the thermal insulation
5.5.1
Installing the 80 mm thermal insulation
If you are using a booster heater, remove the perforated recess from the
thermal insulation (
5.5.2
Installing the 120 mm thermal insulation
If you are using a booster heater, remove the recess from the thermal
insulation using the cutting compass provided (
Fig. 13, page 87).
5.6
Booster heater (accessory)
▶ Install the booster heater in accordance with the separate installation
instructions.
▶ When the cylinder installation is complete, inspect the earth
connection (including the metal connection fittings).
6
Commissioning
Commissioning must be performed by an authorised contractor.
▶ Check the tightness of all connections (
▶ Commission all assemblies and accessories as specified in the
manufacturer's technical documentation.
7
De-commissioning
▶ Shut down all assemblies and accessories of the heating system as
specified in the manufacturer's technical documentation.
▶ Open the system drain valve.
▶ To vent, open the air vent valve. The air vent valve is located at the top
of the cylinder (
Fig. 6, [1], page 85).
▶ Fully drain the buffer cylinder.

Environmental protection/disposal
Environmental protection is a key commitment of the Bosch Group.
Quality of products, efficiency and environmental protection are equally
important objectives for us. All legislation pertaining to the
environmental protection is strictly observed. To protect the
environment we use the best possible technology and materials, subject
to economic considerations.
Packaging
Where packaging is concerned, we participate in country-specific
recycling systems that ensure optimal recycling. All of our packaging
materials are environmentally compatible and can be recycled.
Old appliance
Old appliances contain materials that should be recycled.
The relevant assemblies are easy to separate, and all plastics are
identified. In this manner the individual components are easily sorted
and added into the recycling and disposal systems.

Maintenance
With buffer cylinders, apart from visual checks, no particular
maintenance or cleaning work is necessary.
▶ Check all connections externally for leaks once a year.
▶ In the event of a fault, contact an authorised contractor or the service
department.
The thermal insulation is best installed at a room
temperature of. Lightly tapping the thermal insulation
towards the two ends makes it easier to bring the ends
together.
We recommend completing the installation and
tightness test before installing the thermal insulation.
NOTICE:
Risk of system damage from excessive
pressure.
▶ Observe the maximum operating pressure
(
DANGER:
Risk of scalding from hot water.
▶ Allow the buffer cylinder time to cool down
sufficiently after being shut down.
NOTICE:
Risk of cylinder damage from frost.
If there is a risk of frost when building is unoccupied, we
recommend leaving the buffer cylinder operational or
shutting it down and draining it.
