3.1
Description of function
The instrument is a parallel evaporator which can carry out distillations of solvents in
various formats and containers across a range of temperatures from room tempera-
ture up to + 100 °C and within a range of pressures from 1 mbar up to ambient pres-
sure.
The basis of the process is the evaporation and condensing of solvents under vac-
uum.

The product is heated in the rack.

The even rotation of the rack induces a vortex on the surface of each liquid sam-
ple.

By this vortex, the evaporation surface is enlarged and, therefore, the evapo-
ration is accelerated.
ð
This also constantly mixes the product which prevents localized overheating
and delayed evaporation.

The vapor is converged and reheated in the cover.

Then it passes on via the vacuum hose to the condenser.

There, the latent heat of the vapor is transferred to the coolant fluid so that the va-
por condenses.
