Product description
3.1
Description of function
The instrument is suitable for determining nitro-
gen using the Kjeldahl (TKN; Total Kjeldahl Nitro-
gen) and Devarda methods as well as for other
distillations of steam-volatile substances (e.g. of
alcohol).
Steam is introduced into the sample solution to
drive out volatile components (such as
ammonia, alcohol, etc.).
After condensation in the condenser the
condensate is collected in a receiver solution in
the receiving vessel.
