Checking the formic acid
The volume of formic acid shown on the back of the unit
must be checked at regular intervals, e.g. each time the gas
cylinder is changed. If the formic acid is replaced or added,
wait approx. 10 minutes after filling before starting the unit.
The unit must be preheated for 40 minutes after filling before
a determination procedure is carried out.
Caution: the container is under pressure

Do not open if the B-820 is warm or is in operation
•
Do not refill if the B-820 is warm or is in operation
•
Do not overfill, max. 20 ml or at less 1 cm below the vessel's
arms!
•
Only fill when the unit is turned off and is at room
temperature
•
Filling under any other circumstances may lead to system
contamination!

Installing a new separation column
Loosen the threaded column joint and carefully remove the
old column. The new column can then be fitted as described
in Section 4.8, "Installing the separation column“.
When installing a new separation column, ensure that there
is used a new septum in the injection head, and use new
vespel seals for the new column as well.
If a new column is installed, it must be preheated for 120
minutes before any injections can be done (see Section 5.2.5
"Preheating/Conditioning of separation column“).

Changing the printer paper roll
Place the paper roll in the holder and feed the end of the
paper through the upper slit.
Press the «Paper» key until the paper reappears through the
front opening.
