6.1
Control checks
All regulations designed to ensure that the Fat Determination
Unit is kept in proper working order must be complied with.
These include periodic cleaning and inspections to check for
possible damage.
6.2
Replacing the septum in the injection head
The septum needs replacing after approx. 100 injections. These
can be ordered from Büchi.
When a column is replaced a new septum must be installed.
Only replace the septum when the unit is turned off. The unit
must be in a room temperature, pressure -free state.
To replace the septum in the injection head, proceed as follows:
1. Open top cover of unit
Switch off the unit and allow to cool down.
2. Unscrew the injection head ring
3. Remove old septum
4. Insert new septum
5. Screw injection head ring back in place
6. Close top cover of unit
