It is possible to connect either a digital absolute encoder or an incremental encoder to the DG-Mini controller, however 
only one type may be used at a time.  
 

CAUTION! 

Care must be taken when connecting an encoder to the DG-Mini as digital absolute encoders are connected to 
different terminals than incremental encoders.
