Starter Motor Service

Removal

Remove engine side covers. Refer to side cover

Removal and Installation

Remove flywheel cover and flywheel. Refer to
component

Remove the PORT side screw securing starter
motor band.

Remove four screws securing starter motor and
bracket. Lift up and remove bracket.

Lift up starter motor, then remove nut, positive (+)
battery cable, and positive (+) battery charge
cable from the magnetic switch “B” terminal of
starter motor.

Disconnect the red lead wire from starter motor
magnetic switch “S” terminal.
