acquaint oneself with its content in the future. It contains important information on the settings and
operation of the device.

3. BEFORE USE:
The product is intended only for the use described in the present manual.
A measurement with this product cannot substitute for medical examination.
Do not scan scars or damaged tissues.
A precise measurement requires cleaning of the scanned surface (e.g. forehead) of make-up and other
substances which could distort the measurement result.
Do not use near sources of heat (e.g. fireplaces, ovens).
The device should be used in an ambient temperature between 5°C and 40°C (0ºF and 140ºF). Do not use
the thermometer outside this range.
To obtain most precise measurement results, the thermometer and the examined person should be in the
same room for about 15-20 minutes to balance their temperatures before the measurement.
Maintenance activities which may be performed unaided include only battery replacement and cleaning.
4. PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION OF THE THERMOMETER
Every object with a temperature higher than absolute zero gives off a quantity of infrared energy, proportional to its
temperature. An infrared thermometer treats a surface of a scanned object as opaque. The optical system of the
thermometer directs and focuses the infrared radiation energy in the detector. Subsequently, the electronic circuits
of the device process the signal from the detector to a reading shown on the screen.

The 050400 touchless thermometer is specially designed to measure body temperature (Body Mode) and surface
temperature (Surface Mode), it can also scan temperature of rooms, food, bathing water, baby milk, etc. It also has
a clock function. Due to the use of advanced infrared technologies, the device measures the temperature and
analyzes the data in 0,5 second.
Caution: Depending on the skin type and thickness, the measurement result may be different for individual persons.

6. INSTRUCTION OF USE
Battery installation

Open the battery compartment lid in the lower part of the thermometer.

Insert 2 AAA batteries into the compartment.
Caution: To avoid problems of operation, pay special attention to the polarization of alkaline batteries during
installation (installation of batteries with wrong polarization may cause permanent damage to the device).
