Troubleshooting Flows

[ 1 ] Tape feeding failure

The tape is not fed through.

Replace the tape cassette

with a new one, then try

printing again.

Normal tape feeding?

End of repair.

The old tape cassette may

be defective.

Is there any foreign

material on the tape feed sub roller

and platen roller?

Clean them up.

Does each gear on

the frame ASSY rotate normally when

the DC motor is driven without the

tape cassette?

Replace the roller

holder ASSY.

Are the motor leads

soldered correctly?

Correct them with

lead-free solder.

Are the motor

leads broken?

Replace the DC motor

ASSY.

(Solder its leads to the

main PCB with

lead-free solder.)
