Checking the Operation of Network Devices

Problem

Solution

Your P-touch and wireless access
point/router are not turned on

Make sure you have performed all of the tasks on page 198.

I do not know my P-touch network
settings, such as the IP address

Check the Printer Setting Tool (see

Changing the P-touch Settings

on page 94).

Can you ping your P-touch from your
computer?

Ping your P-touch from your computer using the IP address or the node name.



Successful: Your P-touch is working correctly and connected to the same
network as your computer.



Unsuccessful: Your P-touch is not connected to the same network as your
computer.

Contact the network administrator.

You can confirm the IP address or the node name by printing the P-touch
settings report.
