Appendix 4.  Firmware Switches (WSW)

This appendix describes the functions of the firmware switches, which can be divided into two groups:
one is for customizing preferences designed for the shipping destination (as described in 

Appendix 3

)

and the other is for modifying preferences that match the machine to the environmental conditions. Use
the latter group if the machine malfunctions due to mismatching.

Note: 

Each of the firmware switches has eight selectors. You should not allow end users to access all of

those selectors, but you can allow them to access user-accessible selectors which are 

shaded

 in the

firmware switch tables in this appendix.

Note: 

The firmware switch setting procedure is given in 

Chapter 9, Section 9.4.5

 (Function code 10).
