Press foot lifter attachment
1. Attach the retaining ring (E4) to the groove near the edge of the presser lift
shaft

2. Apply a light covering of MOLYKOTE EM-30L to the surface of the
presser lift shaft

3. Insert the presser lift shaft

from the thread release rod.
4. Insert the 2 washers

into the presser lift shaft from the rear of the unit
holder.
*Key point
• Lift the presser bar clamp slightly when inserting washers.
5. Apply a bead of MOLYKOTE EM-30L to the section where the presser
foot lever

contacts the presser bar clamp.
6. Insert the presser foot lever

into the presser lift shaft

from the rear of
the unit holder, and then attach the retaining ring (E4).
Start movie clip (CD-ROM version only)
Apply MOLYKOTE EM-30L to the surface of the
presser lift shaft.
Light covering
Apply MOLYKOTE EM-30L to the section where the
presser foot lever contacts the presser bar clamp.
